We made numerous trips to Anegada by air or by ferry, staying ashore. Oh, ok, I did not know that. When the charts are disabled, your GPS will simply select another of its charts that covers the area for that zoom range, and the depth and geographic features shown will be correct. When we arrived to the Baths, there was only one additional boat so we had our pick of which mooring to get. If you have never been on a clothing optional vacation, don't be afraid to try it. In the early part of the sail to Anegada, the current can run as much as two knots. Depending on the time of year, locale, and day of the week you will be hard pressed to find an empty one, and have even more difficulty finding a spot with enough swing-room to anchor near them.

When we left Anegada, all we did was wonder why we left and think about when we would go back there. They are easy to identify because they have a very uniform flat-topped appearance. Dinner al fresco in the protected cockpit of Billy Jean after the sunset ends another beautiful day in paradise. As you approach the anchorage, do not stray to the east of a line between the green can and the mooring area - there is a very shallow reef over there! Then you have time to go back to the beach for a while. The photo below was taken about a quarter way up the entrance channel toward the anchorage.

If you are on a catamaran charter, you do not know what you are missing if you have not experienced The Indians! We saw many naked people, always in the water, on the boats, or dinghies. After about 5 years in business the family finally sold the island. If you are looking for roads, shopping malls, nightclubs and crowds, you will not find it here. Having GPS is definitely not a requirement for navigating to Anegada. They are good for keeping important travel documents dry, for putting damp swimsuits in before repacking and for separating clean from dirty laundry. Heck, the Ta-Ta's would come up and smack me in the eye!
Once the sun comes out, we head to the gorgeous beaches of Peter Island where we go for a brutal but incredibly scenic uphill run then sail over to Norman Island to get up to no good at the infamous Willy T floating bar. Look for green turtles, sting and eagle rays, starfish and a large Queen Conch bed. The cost of maintaining a fleet to defend the colonies was beyond the treasury of national governments of the 16th and 17th centuries. This drink, which usually looks and tastes very much like an ordinary milk shake, can be very potent. The two girl bartenders started talking with us and really messing with me because of my elbow.
